This was a great find on our trip. The food and service was genuinely excellent. The prices are very very reasonable and the portions are very decent. We had two traditional Portuguese main courses and a small starter to share. The drink options were really well priced as well. I would definitely come here again!

Small and unassuming place, very casual, great and surprising Brazilian food, a wide range of options- worth trying a lot of the small dishes.

What a welcoming, quaint local place. Staff are friendly and work very hard to keep up with the crowd. We had lunch on a Monday. Food extremely well prepared and flavorful. I had the medallion skewer (chicken pieces wrapped in bacon) with fried cassava and husband enjoyed the sausage platter. Both came with rice and beans. Small chocolate brigideiro for dessert. Delicious.
If you want to taste really good Portuguese food you should definitely come here. Very friendly owners, the food is out of this world. Everything is freshly home made. Family friendly. Even the fries were excellent! Fair prices, would love to come back!

Two warnings: the staff speak limited English, so Google translate was useful. And, no cards when we were there; bring cash!The food here is amazing! I ate 2 times here and ate both times the fried chicken with fries. The staff don't know well english but it works. The staff is really nice. I would deffentily recomend this place. From the outside you see not a really pretty place but once you step inside it really gives a warming house ambiance:)

Typical Brazilian food. I felt like I was in Venezuela. The variety of dishes, large portions, and affordable. It's not luxurious, and that doesn't matter; it's like a big family home. It has a terrace. You can have it all on one plate. Grilled chicken, vegetables, salad, rice. We were lucky to be near Monte de Chorro; there are plenty of British-friendly restaurants around here, and that's not what we were looking for. So we came back here to Amendoeira several times.

Estávamos de férias e à procura de um lugar para almoçar. Viemos pelas boas avaliações e fiquei surpresa com o sabor da comida. Muito brasileiro, com um sabor incrível que me fez sentir em casa. Very Brazilian, with an incredible flavor that made me feel right at home. As a true Bahian, I love delicious food, and this place is simply ideal.
